1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb tenderized round steak or cube steak cut into very thin strips
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp cooking sherry
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
2 tbsp roasted sesame oil
1 or 2 pinches red pepper flakes
1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1 head broccoli, cut into small florets
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, sherry, honey, ginger, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, Sriracha sauce and beef broth. Set aside until ready to use.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and cook the steak until it starts to brown.
Add broccoli and cook until broccoli is to desired tenderness.
Stir the sauce you set aside to reincorporate the cornstarch that settled to the bottom then stir in with the steak, continue stirring until sauce has thickened.
Serve over noodles or rice. I like to serve it with fried rice that I make myself.
