Green Bean Casserole


2 cans green beans, french or normal cut drained
1 can cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1/4 cup milk
1 small can fried onions
salt and pepper to taste


Heat oven to 350°F.

In 1 1/2-quart baking dish, mix green beans, soup and milk.

Bake for 20 minutes remove from oven and turn oven to broil

Top the casserole with onions and place under broiler for another minute or so WATCH CAREFULLY to not burn.

This dish can be prepared and refrigerated the night before without cooking it. Just don’t use the onions yet. You will need to increase cooking time before adding onions since it will be cold.
